Judging

Who will judge the entries?

Four to five experts will judge each category of the Care Sector Supplier Awards.

The judges will be chosen for their experience and will vote independently for the company, brand, service or activity they think is best in a given category. Their combined votes will be added together to find a winner in each category.

No judge is allowed to vote for any company, brand or service with which they have had a past or current involvement. If a judge is also an executive of a sponsor company they are not allowed to vote for any entries in the category they are sponsoring.

Some judging groups may judge more than one category. This will be because their expertise is broad enough, or because the category criteria are similar. Other groups may judge only one category, but it will probably be a larger category, with more entries.

There will be two stages to the judging: the first will ensure entries meet the criteria for entry and standard of submission; the second stage will decide the places in each category. Award of Merit trophies will only be awarded to companies that run a very close second to the Winner.

The judges’ decisions will be arrived at independently and will be final. No correspondence will be entered into concerning the judges’ decisions and the names of the judges may not be released until after voting has been completed.

Please note: all judges will sign non-disclosure agreements before being given access to any entry. This is in keeping with the organisers’ clear intent to maintain high levels of confidentiality. If, for instance, an entrant wishes to embargo certain information because of its commercial sensitivity, then provided the material is clearly marked as confidential, any material subject to an embargo will not be published.
